The Minecraft block has two aspects, Block and ItemBlock.
・Aspect as Block・・・As a block to be placed in the world for building etc.
・Aspect as ItemBlock・・・・As an item to use for drop and inventory
I will explain it in words. But, about the difference between the two, I think that it is easier to see in the images.

■ItemBlock appears when block is destroyed
■ItemBlock appears when block is crafted
